Empowering the Pulpit preaching conference equipped both students and pastors to engage the culture in preaching. Jim Shaddix and Robert Smith Jr. were the main plenary speakers and modeled how to engage the culture through preaching.
The topic for the 2017 Stanfield Lectures was "Planning Your Preaching" with Dr. Rummage. His two-part lecture series consisted of "Preaching Through a Book of the Bible" and "Preaching through Acts."
